Alex has one foot in art and the other in science: magicien-mentalist, keynote speaker, emcee of professional events, IT and computer science engineer, trainer and coach in public speaking, presentation design and interpersonal communication, and improv comedian. He built his expertise in two ways.
First, he holds a Master degree in IT engineering, and has develop his expertise over almost 15 years. Playing distinct roles both in international companies and small organizations, Alex had to explain complex technical topics to non-experts, or to persons averse to IT; he also had to convince other IT experts regarding solutions and processes he had designed; finally, he helped both technical experts and non-technical persons to (better) understand each other and (better) work together.
Second, he's been studying the art of magic and mentalism for more than ten years. As a magician, he must capture, hold and direct his audience attention to make them experience his artistic and elegant magic. He improved and continues to improve his art through Toastmasters, a global organization dedicated to grow leadership and communication skills, and by performing improv theater, another performance art where being present on stage, being open to ideas from others, and crafting together are key to success.
Psychology, interpersonal communication, negociation, and neuroscience are the keys that helped him achieve these results.
Alex has already shared his expertise in companies like Sonaca, Cercle du Lac or SFAS, has coached dozens of speakers for TEDxGhent and TEDxUCLouvain, and has emceed events like TEDxUCLouvain (500 pax.)
